Varuna (Thailand) Co., Ltd. has entered a joint development deal of training courses for new agricultural drone pilots through cooperation with 5 partner organizations under the Social Health Environment Economic Partnership for Sustainable Sugarcane (SHEEP for Sustainable Sugarcane) on 7-8 November 2021
The 5 partner organizations are as follows:
(1) Office of the Cane and Sugar Board
(2) Thailand Society of Sugar Cane Technologists (TSSCT.)
(3) Agricultural Safety Association (ASA)
(4) Thai Sugar Millers Co., Ltd. and
(5) Syngenta Crop Protection Co., Ltd.
As for the “Young Farmers’ Club” project, the purpose is essentially to develop skills for future generations of sugarcane farmers who are interested in becoming agricultural drone pilots. The courses provided include training in the laws and regulations of drone flying, simulated flights via a flight simulator software, and practical flights of agricultural drones with help from an automatic flight program. In addition, certificates will be received through training courses. This is to enable the participants to apply modern agricultural technology in practical practice.
